Specimen above found on washing the brown algae Furbellows, Saccorhiza polyschides, at Newlyn Marina, Newlyn, Cornwall, 03.07.17. Please note, Newlyn Marina is a private marine and part of a commercial port.

Specimen above found in a sample collected subtidally on an extra-low spring tide at Chimney Rocks, Penzance, Cornwall. 05.06.16.
Specimen here is a juvenile and approx. 2.5mm in length, the species can grow to approx. 10mm. Photographed on a black background it is easy to confuse juvenile Calliopaea bellula with southern species of Hermaea.
