The specimen above was one of two similar Oerstedia dorsalis found among a hundred or so specimens. Specimens were found on the side of a dark overhang, very close to the low spring tide level at Baulk Head, Gunwalloe Fishing Cove, near Helston, Cornwall, 06.07.16. Two spotted forms were also found.

Above specimen was found in a sample of the non-native red algae, Pikea californica, collected outside Newlyn Harbour, Newlyn, Cornwall. 23.02.15.
