Specimen found on the underside of a rock that was collected sublittorally, at low tide, from a small spit inside Newlyn Harbour, Newlyyn, Cornwall. 31.08.16.
Identification of specimen could not be determined from images of the operculum/s. Examination of the collar chaetae was needed to separate H. norvegicus from H. elegans here, the latter a common species inside harbours. Advice kindly given by Harry ten Hove, a serpulid expert.
