Three specimes were found in sediment washed from crevices on looking for small gastropods, sampled on a mean low water spring, MLWS, at Albert Pier reef, Penzance, Cornwall, 25.05.20. Two of the specimens found were photographed and can be seen in the above images.

Typically this species can be found in low numbers in crevices or in kelp holdfasts. Quite frequent on the south coast of England, along the Welsh coastline and coastline of Northern Ireland.

Species kindly verified by Dr. Andrew Mackie.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help
people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
