The specimen above was found on washing hydroid and bryozoan covered Fucus serratus, Saw Wrack, collected on a low spring tide at Ashtorre Rock, Saltash, Cornwall, 02.05.22. The Fucus serratus was covered mainly in the bryozoan Amathia sp. and hydroids Dynamena pumila and Obelia, possibly Obelia dichotoma. Over 90 specimens were found in one sample of washings leading the author to thing that this species is either locally common or greatly overlooked.
The red markings shown here were present on some individuals in the sample, especially the more mature ones, others seemed to be a translucent pink-red and juveniles mostly appeared to be translucent white.

The species needs dissection and microscopic identification, the palp and claws are especially important.
