Two specimens of Hermaea paucicirra were found in a scrape sample taken from a slipway support in Newlyn Harbour, Newlyn, Cornwall, 06.06.15.

The species here was kindly verified by Dr. Manuel Caballer Gutierrez of the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, France, 15.02.18.
This is a new species for the UK list. The species is a southern migrant like Hermaea cantabra, its occurence here may relate to favourable climatic conditions and ocean currents from the south.
