Numerous specimens seen skating across shallow, brackish, saltmarsh pools trying to catch splash midges at The Pill, Westward Ho!, Devon. 08.04.17. I believe the specimen here could be one of three species of Pardosa but microscopic examination is needed to determine which one, as I'm not a spider expert I am presuming the strands of web seen around the pools is the web produced by this spider.

people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
