This species was photographed at Spit Point near Par Docks, at Par Beach on the south coast of Cornwall, at Constantine Beach, North Cornwall and Sennen Cove, West Cornwall. Look out for this species along the shoreline during June and July.

Last three images are of a mass stranding of the species, which involved thousands of individuals, and occurred between New Polzeath and Polzeath, Cornwall, 07.07.14.

people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
