Images of this species were taken under rocks on the lowershore at Chimney Rocks, Penzance, Cornwall. 06.04.11. SW4745229774; also at Little London Rocks, Marazion, near Penzance, Cornwall. 13.11.11.
Candelabrum cocksii is often reported and confused with a deeper water species C. phrygium. According to Segonzac & Vervoort (1995) many misidentifications of C. cocksii in England may result from a publication by Cornelius (1977), which did not take into account earlier good descriptions of distinguishing characters (by Sars).
