Specimen above is approx. 1.0mm in length, found in numbers on a sample of Coral weed, Corallina officinalis, taken from a middleshore rockpool at Albert Pier Reef, Penzance, Cornwall. 21.01.14.
This species appears the same species as Macrorhynchus naegelii as illustrated by F.W. Gamble in The Quarterly Journal of Microscopical Science. New Series, No. CXXXVI. APRIL, 1893. The species is now known as Polycystis naegelii Kölliker, 1845.
