Specimens were found growing at the foot of a tufa cliff, just above or below the high water mark. Found on cliff above the Hayle Channel, Lelant, Cornwall. 14.12.10 and 17.02.11.

Specimens were found growing at the foot of a tufa cliff, just above or below the high water mark. Found on cliff above the Hayle Channel, Lelant, Cornwall. 01.12.16.

Dr. Paul Gainey investigated this species further, collected material and found that the species was almost certainly Rivularia biasolettiana because of the presence of very small calcite crystals between the filaments.

The species here still needs to be verified by an expert in the field of cyanobacteria.
