Commonly found under stones and boulders on rocky shores from the middleshore to low tide mark. Images taken at Devil's Point, Batten Bay and Wembury, Devon; and at Spit Point, Par; Hannafore Beach, Looe and at Battery Rocks, Penzance, Cornwall. Often found with Long-clawed Porcelain Crab.

Scientific and European Names:
Porcellana platycheles, Broad-clawed porcelain crab, Hairy porcelain crab and Shaggy flat-crab, Harig Porseleinkrabbetje, Porcelaine Grise.
