Specimen above was found crawling over the scales of a Labrus bergylta, Ballan Wrasse, caught whilst fishing at Skilly, south of Newlyn, Cornwall, 23.07.18. Numerous fish were seen with these parasites but there appeared to be only a small number of them per fish.

people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
