Specimens featured are small juvenile specimens that are about 5mm in length, or less. The specimens were found in galleries that were found inside a Stone crab trap float, it is not know what was responsible for the galleries but the galleries also trapped foraminifera inside the buoy. Arca zebra, Turkey Wing; Dendostrea frons, Racoon oyster and Isognomon bicolor was also found on or in the fishing buoy, which was found at Boolakeel, Ballinskelligs, Co. Kerry, 28.12.15.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help

people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
