Beadlet anemones can be found all over the south-west coastline, on rocks and in rockpools. Various coloured forms can be found from red to orange and shades of green and olive; many have a blue ring at the base. Striped forms can also be found but these are less common.

Photography includes animals at Par Beach; Spit Point, Par; and Battery Rocks, Penzance, Cornwall; and Batten Bay near Plymouth, Devon.

people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
